Data Sources & Licensing
Last reviewed: October 3, 2026. RigPrism combines separately sourced facts with its own methodology. Normalization does not transfer ownership or erase source conditions. Detail pages retain record-specific source links and notices.
RigPrism-authored material & contributions
RigPrism authors compatibility rules, methodology, guides and matching logic. The underlying hardware facts retain their source rights. Individual facts are not claimed as exclusively owned by RigPrism.
Browser benchmark results, build contributions and community ratings are separate from authored material. Production collection is paused. Existing contribution consent does not authorize a commercial data product; private raw submissions and voter identifiers are excluded from exports. No qualified first-party benchmark dataset is currently offered.
CC0 sources
Wikidata contributors
Selected structured hardware and game claims use Wikidata structured data under CC0 1.0. Commercial reuse, adaptation and redistribution are permitted under CC0. Attribution is retained for provenance, although CC0 does not require it. This does not cover linked images or all Wikidata page text.
Blender Open Data
The Blender Open Data archive is CC0. Source-derived render measurements retain version, workload, cohort and sample context. These are not RigPrism first-party measurements or gaming FPS. Exact hardware matching and coverage still limit use; software and media may have separate licenses.
Attribution-required sources
Wikipedia contributors
Selected hardware and Logitech table facts are adapted under CC BY-SA 4.0. Commercial use is permitted with attribution, source/history and license links, a modification notice and applicable share-alike. Adapted data remain available under that license, without additional reuse restrictions. Sources include the Logitech product list and the pinned processor/GPU lists linked on individual records.
LinuxHardware contributors
Selected EDID and DMI facts use CC BY 4.0. Preserve attribution, license/source links and changes. Device-reported timings and firmware facts are observational, not independent product certification. Approximate dimensions are labeled.
BuildCores OpenDB
Contains information from BuildCores OpenDB, made available here under the Open Data Commons Attribution License 1.0. Selected factual specifications are normalized. Attribution and database-license notices must accompany relevant reuse. The database license does not automatically license every image or separately protected item; provider assets, retailer content and prose are excluded.
Conditional third-party sources
Steam
Steam-sourced discovery records and aggregate user-review summaries are attributed to Steam under the Steam Web API Terms. Valve grants application-specific distribution to end users for personal use; this is not a blanket resale or enterprise-feed license. Steam data and derived review percentages are excluded from commercial exports by default. Separately sourced Wikidata game facts retain CC0; a shared App ID does not change their provenance. No individual reviews or Steam user profiles are republished. RigPrism is independent and is not endorsed by Valve. Steam is a trademark of Valve Corporation.
Retailer feeds & images
Sovrn, eBay and Open Icecat integrations are disabled. Their prices, affiliate data and images are not part of a resale dataset. Account access or a reachable image alone does not establish export permission. External ratings, licensed feeds and unknown sources also remain excluded unless explicit permission is reviewed for the exact use.
Reuse & inquiries
Source licenses govern the material they cover and take precedence over conflicting site restrictions. Open data are nonexclusive. A future RigPrism agreement may cover its own services and authored material, but cannot withdraw upstream reuse rights.
